Nail art

I'm thinking about painting my nails again. Here are some pictures of pretty designs:

You can never go wrong with polka dots. Classic!

Pac Man! So cute and fun.

Scrabble! I'm tempted to replicate this with letters of my name.

These lace-ups are pretty snazzy.

The perfect design for summer.

Glow in the dark nails for a funky look! :O

Street Style!

Street fashion is totally rad. Whereas it doesn't take much creative chops to look fabulous strutting down the runway when there's a gaggle of stylists in charge of all the outfit changes, it's another matter to roll out of bed in the morning and dress yourself and still look fabulous.

I love the striking silhouette and bold color of this coat. The pumps and oversized bow add a bit of edge. Great look for cold winters when there aren't many options for looking fashionable while not freezing to death.

As a bookworm, I adore this bookish look - the cardigan, the oversized bag, the mary janes, the glasses. The skirt belted high is really the defining touch though: it gives the illusion of mile-long legs, and transforms this outfit from looking like so many uniforms and instead makes it look so cute!

This lady has such flair! I feel like older women often have a gravitas to them that allows them to pull off outfits that a younger woman wouldn't be able to. I love the whimsy of the hat, and even more I love how the color scheme of the hat, coat, and sweater all work so well together. Without the unity of the patterns and the color scheme the hat would look out of place, while here it just looks charming.

I am in love with this boho chic look! Some people seem to think that throwing together ripped jeans and a torn t-shirt constitutes the epitome of the bohemian look, when it is so much more than that. The strappy sandals, the silver of midriff, and most of all the animated pose and smile really define the boho look.

Sometimes less is more, and in the case it's also plain beautiful. The sharp contrast of the long black dress and the short white hair really lends a sleek look to the simple outfit. The combat boots also balance out the soft femininity of the dress.

I included this photograph because this is exactly the kind of outfit you see on runways all the time that never actually get worn on the streets. Bright colors, impractical heels; I say kudos to all those young ladies who own and wear outfits like these.

Another simple outfit that's more than the sum of its parts. I love the brown flowing through the whole ensemble: the sandals, the flower pattern on the dress, the belt, the bracelet, the bag strap. The thick belt is ingenious; it defines the waist and gives structure to the flowy maxi dress. The whole look, especially with the hair in a casual polytail, is such a refreshing look for summer.
